It is possible to add vertical Sunscreen (flounce) in the frame of the Sunscreen. This blocks low sun and prevents neighbors from looking in.

Types porch awnings
ShelterSunscreen
The under-roof awning is fixed under the roof of the canopy, preventing the awning fabric from getting dirty from the weather. In addition, under-roof awnings provide acoustics in the canopy and contribute to the atmosphere in the canopy.
Upper roofSunscreen
Top roof awnings are mounted on top of the roof of the canopy. This keeps the sun from hitting the roof of the canopy and makes it less hot under the canopy.
To reduce the temperature of the low sun, Sunscreen with overhang is a godsend. The piece of Sunscreen that extends over the roof of the canopy also creates an additional seating area in the shade.
